If you asked for a demo on our website and ticked the box that says we may text you, Slate sends short messages about that and about anything you raise with us afterwards: confirming a demo time, reminding you the day before, telling you a support request was received or resolved, and telling you when something on Slate affected your booking page and when it was fixed.

Nothing promotional. No offers, no announcements, no “have you seen our new feature”. If that ever changes it will be a separate program with a separate, separately ticked box, and this page will say so before the first such message goes out.

Calibrate Holdings LLC, a Florida limited liability company, trading as Slate. When Slate texts you, the message comes from one US number registered to Slate, and the company that carries it is named, with exactly what it can see, on our subprocessors page.

By ticking an unticked box on the demo request form at slate-booking.com, next to wording that named Slate, said what the messages are, said how often, said that message and data rates may apply, and linked here. Leaving the box empty changes nothing about your demo. We keep the date and time you ticked it, which form it was on, the number you gave, and the exact wording you saw.

Nobody is added by default, and nobody is added because they signed up for Slate, booked something through a business on Slate, or emailed us. The box is the only way in.

Message frequency varies with what you have going on with us. A demo produces two or three messages. A support request produces one when it arrives and one when it is resolved. Service notices are rare. Fewer than ten a month, and in most months none at all.

Slate charges nothing for them. Message and data rates may apply from your own carrier, depending on your plan.

Reply STOP to any message and they stop. That takes effect immediately at the carrier, before Slate even sees it, and Slate records it against your contact so nothing here sends to you again. You will get one final message confirming you are unsubscribed. Reply START if you change your mind.

Replying STOP does not cancel a demo or close a support request. It only stops the texts; email carries on as before.

Reply HELP to any message and you get a short reply naming Slate and how to reach a person. Or email support@slate-booking.com, which is read by a person and does not pass through Slate.

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The only outside company that handles the number is the carrier named on the subprocessors page, and it handles it to deliver the message and for no other reason. What is held is in the section 6 and how long it is kept in the section 8 of the Privacy Policy.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Neither, in practice, are we: if a text does not arrive, the email you gave us is the record, and your demo or support request stands regardless.

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change would mean sending you a kind of message you did not tick a box for, you will be asked again first.

One address, read by a person. It does not run through Slate.
